After the tragic demise of actor Heath Ledger I was inspired to create this painting.  I myself have struggled with addiction and dealing with my own darkness.  While playing "The Joker" the role took over Heath's mental health and he was having to take sleeping pills in order to shut off his mind and rest.  While the Joker is notoriously known as a villain this will go down in history as one of the greatest roles ever played in my mind.  Rest in peace Heath.
